Johnston, of Palmerston Xorth, treasI urer of the conference, who is at i present indisposed. CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS i The secretary of the Auckland Agri- j i cultural and, Pastoral Association, Mr. W. F. O'Donnell, reported that his I association had agreed not to proceed ; with the remit requesting that the j duties of the conference be advisory I and not mandatory. He said that the , question had arisen in regard to the j awarding of North Island champion- | ships by the Auckland Agricultural ; and Pastoral Association. Auckland i had no desire to obstruct the work | of the conference in any way. and * | now desired that they be distributed ■by the conference. They only asked j I that Auckland’s claims for champion- j | ships at the next show receive favour-1 able consideration. The chairman said that Auckland's i action was much appreciated by the j conference. It was agreed that Auckland's application for Xorth Island championships be referred to the executive for immediate attention.
