BIG TOBACCO CONCERN Having as its objects the planting, cultivation, curing and manufacturing of tobacco, the Empire Tobacco Corporation, Ltd., with an authorised capital of £250,000, was registered in Auckland yesterday. The subscribers are:—Joseph Soloman Emanuel, company manager, William Valentine Worth, accountant, Hugh Ross Mackenzie, farmer, and William Chisholm Whitney, company manager, 2,500 shares each; Percy Douglas Jones, auctioneer, Herbert Loraine Boughton, law clerk, and Marjorie Woodcock, typiste, 1 share each. The following private companies were also registered yesterday:— Air Survey and Transport Company, Limited, carriers of passengers, goods and mail by air. Capital, £3,000, in £1 shares. Subscribers: Frank Douglas Mill, 2,90 S shares; Margaret Ann Mill and Audrey Lina Mill, 1 share each. A. Birch, Limited, pork butchers and small goods merchants. Capital, £1,500, in £1 shares. Subscribers: Archer Birch, 1,000 shares; Mary Birch, 500 shares. Empire Bond Sales, Limited, sharebrokers, financial agents and company promoters. Capital, £I,OOO, in £1 shares. Subscribers: G. Stewart Craig. Limited, 550 shares; Stanley William Wilford Tong, 270 shares: Thomas Mclndoe and John Arthur Holloway, 90 shares each. C. Nr. Walls, Limited, commercial photographers and printers. Capital. £6OO, in £1 shares. Subscribers: Cyril Malcolm Walls, Sarah Elizabeth Walls and Dorothy Alexandra Walls, 200 shares Perfecto Window Company, Limited, manufacturers and merchants of window fittings. Capital, £3OO, in £1 shares. Subscribers: Arthur Edwin Forbes Thode, John James Day and Charles Murray Cruickshank, 100 shares each.
