DARGAVILLE NOTES

The special holiday requested by the Minister of Education. the Hon. 1L Atmore, in commemoration of his first visit to Dargaville, was enjoyed by the pupils of the Dargaville District High School yesterday. Thanksgiving services were celebrated in the Dargaville churches on Sunday. At Holy Trinity Church, the Rev. J. C. Fussell conducted the service, which was on similar lines to that at Westminster Abbey. Lieutenant M. de R. Petrie was in charge of a number of Territorials present. The North Auckland Regimental Band was also represented. Appropriate references to th** occasion were made at the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches.
