AIRDROME FOR KAITAIA

CLUB INSPECTING SITES (From Our uwn Correspondent) KAITAIA, Today. The sympathetic attitude of the Minister of Defence toward the pi'oposal to institute an airdrome at Kaitaia has resulted in the Kaitaia Aero Club inspecting several more or less suitable landing sites. One site in particular, of about 200 acres, is regarded as very suitable, as it is flat, dry and open. If this is secured Kaitaia will possess the biggest landing place in New Zealand. Much activity is being displayed to raise funds, and the local bodies here are in agreement with the project.
