On the recommendation ol' the works committee the Mpunt Eden Presbyterian Church was granted a permit to erect a hall and class-room in tiles, on condition that the inside lining be in fibre plaster from 4£t high to the ceiling. Messrs. Mullions and Smith were granted a permit to erect flats at the corner of I-lautangi Road and Mount Eden Road. A special committee consisting of j the Mayor and Councillors Rendell, I Chappel, Bryden and Jull. was set up to report on alterations possible to | the council chambers to give the extra I accommodation required without in- I volving structural alterations. The building inspector reported that I permits for 12 buildings and addi- j tions, representing a total value of j £2,787. were issued in June-.
