CHILD STRUCK BY CAR
ACCIDENT IN NEWMARKET WALKED OFF SAFETY-ZONE Stepping off the safey-zone in Newmarket ahead of his mother yesterday afternoon, four-year-old Frank Grove was struck by the mudguard of a motor-car coming along the tramlines from the south, toward Parnell. The child was thrown heavily to the road and was seriously injured. He j was taken to the Auckland Hospital j in a private car, where it was disI covered he was suffering from con- ! cussion of the brain. This morning, however, his condition had improved : slightly. His parents live in Pan- | mure Road, Otahuhu.
