FATALLY SHOT, BUT SA,VED MINISTER TROOPS’ TRAGIC MISTAKE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) SOFIA, Monday. A tragic affair, which resulted, in the death of a brave constable, occurred in the Kritchim district of Sofia. A body of Bulgarian cavalry had been scouring that neighbourhood in search of a band of assassins who bad tried to kill the Prime Minister, M. Andrea Liapteheff, as he was returning from the opening of a new road. The soldiers believed they had come upon the assassins and fired. They shot at the wrong car and killed a constable who had been escorting the Minister of tVorks, M. S. Vassileff. I The constable flung himself in front of the Minister when the shots rang out and was mortally wounded.
