50 MURDERS IN YEAR
WASHINGTON’S RECORD OF CRIME ARRESTS FOR DRUNKENNESS (United Service) WASHINGTON, Monday. There were 50 murders and 400 people were killed in street accidents in Washington in the year ended June 30. These figures are the highest on record in the capital. ( Fourteen thousand people were arrested in the period under the Shepherd law, which makes being intoxicated a crime.
