DISASTER AT CHINESE HEALTH RESORT

VICTIMS BURIED IN RUINS (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) SHANGHAI, Saturday. The greatest tragedy in the history of Kuling, a famous health resort in the province of Kiangsi, near Lake Wucheng, occurred yesterday. A large Chinese hotel, situated on the side of a mountain, collapsed after continued heavy downpours of rain. Thirty-three Chinese were buried in the ruins. Five women and three men were extricated severely injured. The others are all beyond aid. The hotel was a building of three storeys. It has been patronised extensively this summer.
