TWO HOUSES BURNED
FIRES AT HOKITIKA Press Association HOKITIKA, Today. A modern residence, owned by Mr. E. Stoop, of Woodstock, was completely destroyed by fire early on Sunday morning. Insurance on the building amounted to £250, and on the furniture to £250, all in the Guardian Office. Fire at Ross on Saturday morning destroyed a five-roomed cottage owned by Mr. A. Moore. It was insured for £IOO in the South British Office.
