CONCERT AT HENDERSON

With the object of raising funds for the purchase of fire-fighting equipment a concert and social was held in the Henderson Town Hall. There was a large attendance, which included members of the Henderson Town Board, and representatives of the Mount Eden, Remuera, Otahuhu, Panmure and Newmarket Fire Brigades. The programme was an excellent one, songs being contributed by Mesdames Reich and Clark, and Messrs. B. H. Buscombe and O. Firkin; instrumental items by Mr. and Mrs. Reich, and recitations by Mr. H. G. Cutler. Cards were provided in the supper-room. The music for dancing was provided by the Astonian Orchestra.
