AN excellent feeling exists on ’Change and numerous sales are being made. Bank of New South Wales have steady buyers at s£sl ss, sellers quoting £sl 15s. All Insurance shares are keenly watched by investors, few shares offering in this section.
Yesterday afternoon’s business:—On Change: New Zealand Breweries (deb.), £ 1 6s 9d. Reported: National Bank of New Zealand. £7 4s; Goldsbrough, Mort, £2 7s 9d: Renown Collieries (ord.), 15s 4d: Colonial Sugar, £57 12s 6d. Hayward's Pictures (ex div.), 13s 3d; Sanfords (ord.), 18s 3d. Business at this morning’s call: On ’Change: Colonial Sugar, £57 12s 6d. Reported: Grey Valley Coal, £1 3s 6d; Hnddart-Parker, £2 5s 6d; Farmers’ Trading (ord.), Bs. * * * The woollen section remains steady, with little business reported. Kaiapoi and Wellington arc attracting most attention. A steady demand continues for banking scrip. English, Scottish and Australian have buyers at £8 9s 6d. sellers holding for £8 11s 6d. Na-
( tionals have firmed to sales at £7 4s. Nationals of Australasia, both issues, ' are in demand. New Zealands also have keen buyers. *■ • * The coal section continues to attract, investors. Grey Valley sold this morning at 23s 6d. Hikurangi, both issues, ar p quietly firming. Pukemiros remain very firm. Taupiri, Waipa and Westport also have many buyers, few sellers quoting. • <» * Considerable business is being registered in the miscellaneous section. Colonial Sugars changed hands this morning at £57 12s 6d. Farmers’ Trading (ord.), also sold at 8s this morning. Farmers’ Fertiliser are firming. Wilsons Cement are very firm with buyers at 42s 3d, with no shares offering.
