PROTECTED BIRD SHOT
FINES FOR OFFENDER TRESPASSING CHARGE As a result of charges brought by the Auckland Acclimatisation Society. Arthur Jewell Weavers, was lined £5 and qosts at the Police _ Court this afternoon for killing a pigeon, a protected bird. He was fined £ 1 for killing native game without a licence. Weavers was convicted and discharged on a. charge of trespassingpon Cascade Park, Waitakere, in pursuit of game Herbert Carter, similarly charged, was fined £1 and costs.
