PUKEKOHE MUSICAL SOCIETY

The annual meeting of the Pukekohe Musical Society, held on "Wednesday evening, was presided over by the president, Mr. W. F. J. Munro. The balance sheet revealed that there was a credit of £ 3 3s lOd on the year’s working. The receipts totalled £SB 6s Id, and the excess of assets over liabilities was £l7 15s lOd. McWhirter; secretary, Mr. James Roulston; auditor, Mr. F. A. Hosking; librarian, Miss N. Brown; committee, Misses I. Duncan, K. Cox, N. Perkins, D. King, N. Brown, Mesdames E. Maddison, E. W. Dyer, G. Bowden, A A r addell, Messrs. R. G. May, K. PiKe, H. T. Moore, A. Lakeman, G. F. Payne, H. King and H. T. Twiss; pianiste, Miss K. Cox; orchestra conductor, Mr. Dormer.

Subject to enrolling a sufficient number of members, it was decided to stage an operetta and to obtain the services of Mr. Walter Russell-Wood as director*
