COMMENDATION
QOMMENDATION, Who had o, headed the weights in the Handicap at Trentham with l 1.5, was not accepted for. In company with the Whyte handicap candidate, Otairi, the Limond gelding ran six furlongs on outside of the course proper in 1-24, at Awapuni on Tuesday, after negotiating the first half of the journey in 42. It is possible that the standing down of L. G. Morris had something to do with Commendation’s defection, and he may be found coming in on one of the later days.
