AIRMAN LIES IN STATE
BODY OF KEITH ANDERSON AT SYDNEY
COMRADE’S IMPRESSIVE BURIAL Reed. 9 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. The body of Lieutenant Keith Anderson, who perished with Mr. R. S. Hitchcock in a desert, in a flight 'in search of the lost Southern Cross, lies in state at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, in tlie city. Today the funeral service will be held. At Mosman tomorrow morning the airman will be buried with full military honours. The funeral at Perth of Mr. Hitchcock, who was Lieutenant Anderson’s mechanic, was impressive. Among the wreaths was one from the Southern Cross, which wirelessed instructions to a Perth florist. It bore a card inscribed: “A deep and sincere tribute to a gallant aviator who gave his life on an errand of mercy, in endeavouring to succour fellow aviators in distress.”
