GAOL FOR FORGETFUL HUSBAND DRUNKENNESS ADMITTED ( Special to TUB SUB) WAIHI, Wednesday. Charged with assaulting his wife by striking her on the head and body with his clenched fist, Albert Stanley Parsons was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment by justices in the Waihi Police Court today. Accused said he had no recollection of the affair.

To charges of drunkenness and procuring liquor during the currency of a prohibition order, Parsons pleaded guilty. On the first charge he was convicted and discharged. In the case of procuring liquor a remand was granted until July 18, when accused will appear before Mr. PV W. Platts, S.M.
