WOMAN HURT IN CAR SMASH COLLISION AT TAKAPUNA In a motor-car collision at the intersection of Bake Road and Napier Avenue, Takapuna, about six o’clock last evening, Mrs. S. Moore was thrown against the windscreen of a car, in which she was a passenger, being badly cut on the forehead. Several stitches had to be inserted. A closed car driven by Mr. Moore, of Karaka Street, Takapuna, who was accompanied by his wife, was proceeding toward Milford. Mr. Harold Devett, of Napier Avenue, was driving home from the other direction and swerved across the road into Napier Avenue. Mr. Moore was unable to pull up in time, striking Mr. Devett’s car on the left-hand ~.ido, the force of the impact throw.ng Mrs. Moore against the shattered windscreen. The radiator and headlamps of the closed car were badly damaged and the chassis strained. The other motor escaped more lightly with crumpled running-boards and body damage.
