DOMINION AWARDS MADE AUCKLAND ENTRIES THIN Although substantial prize money was to be won, Auckland entries were not numerous in the butter and cheese championships judged yesterday at the Auckland Winter Exhibition. The standard of the butter entries was high, but the cheese entries were few and the general standard irregular. The total entries this year were 321 as against 369 for last year. The Dominion butter championship was won by the United Dairy Company, Woodville, and the cheese championship was secured by the Pihama Dairy Company, Taranaki. In the butter sections the total points prize was won by the United Dairy Company, and in the cheese sections the prize was won by Hopelands. The judges were the Government graders at the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company’s works.
