IONIC FROM HOME

MEETING ROUGH WEATHER NOW DUE SATURDAY The White Star liner lonic, which was due at Auckland today from London, and Southampton, is meeting with very rough weather according to a radio message received this morning by the local agents, L. D. Nathan and Company. According to the master of the lonic (Captain Lloyd) at noon on* Sunday last the lonic was 2295 miles east of Auckland and was meeting with westerly gales and high seas. If the weather moderates, it is hoped that the vessel will reach Auckland noon on Saturday, but confirmation, however, will be sent later. The lonic is bringing passengers, and mails from Southampton for disembarkation at Auckland, and cargo for discharge at Auckland, and Wellington.
