REVELLERS AT ST. JAMES
O’BRIAN’S BRIGHT COMPANY This week’s programme at the St. Janies Theatre stamps Frank O'Brian’s Revellers as something quite dcllnitoly beyond the ordinary run of revue companies. The performance goes with a sparkle from beginning to end and there is never a dull moment for the audience. Frank O’Brian, himself, is, of course, the central point of the whole show. The bewildering series of changes by which he is now an argumentative schoolboy, now a henpecked husband and now a new kind o£ wrestler keex>s the show moving fast and, with the excellent supporting cast that he has to help him, he keeps the spectators laughing all the time lie is on the stage. The ballet is probably one of the most original seen .on the St. James stage for months and the dancing has that snap and accuracy only possible in a really well-trained team. The specialty dances, led by Janice Hart, are beautiful and the audiences leave j no doubt that they enjoy them. The clever sketches and the fine j singing of other members of the com- i panV, such as Gordon IN orville and Janice Hart, put a linish on the whole i performance that makes it thoroughly i enjoyable.
