SIMON COMMISSION
INDIANS TO CO-OPERATE IN LONDON British Official Wireless RUGBY, Monday. Nine members of the Indian Central Committee are now in London to cooperate with the Simon Commission in completing the present statutory inquiry into Indian constitutional reforms. The visitors were entertained at dinner at the Carlton Hotel. The Prime Minister, Mr. MacDonald, presided. Many members of the Government were among those present. A joint conference between the Simon Commission and the Indian Central Committee was held yesterday at the House of Lords, when evidence was heard. Lord Irwin. Viceroy of India, and Lady Irwin left Bombay for England yesterday. Viscount Goschen, Governor of Madras, had previously been installed as Viceroy and Acting-Governor General to serve in the absence of Lord Irwin.
