LEGION’S GOOD PROGRESS Press Association HAWERA, Today. • The annual conference of the New Zealand Command of the Legion of Frontiersmen, attended by 30 delegates, opened on Saturday, the Commandant, Colonel C. H. Weston, D. 5.0.. of New Plymouth, presiding. It was stated in the annual report that the Legion was making good progress in New Zealand. The chairman appealed for the formation of farther troops. Several remits were considered, dealing with the Legion’s organisation. A remarkable scene of enthusiasm attended the election of the Commandant. for the ensuing term. Colonel Weston retired, but when nominations were asked for the meeting immediately rose, calling on Colonel Weston in unison. His re-election, which was unopposed, was carried with cheers.
