OFF TO ENGLAND
PRESENTATION TO FOOTBALLER A presentation was made at Papa kura on Saturday to Mr. Trevor Hall, who is leaving for England this week under engagement to play football for the St. Helens Club, England. The Rev. W. C. Wood, in making the presentation, said Mr. Hall was respected in Papakura as a real clean sport and good fellow. A few seasons ago he played football for Papa - kura, and after changing to the League code played for the Newton Club in Auckland, and had attained representative honours for New Zea land. The authorities in England had been attracted by his splendid playing, said the Rev. Wood, and had made him a good offer for his services. On behalf of Mr. Hall’s many friends in Papakura, the Rev. W. C. Wood presented him with a solid silver cigarette case, and a Doulton bowl to his fiancee. Miss Kathleen Kemp, of Marne Road. Papakura. and wished them every success. Mr. Hall suitably replied. Mr. Hall and Miss Kemp are to be married and will sail for England on Wednesday.
