FOUR SERIOUSLY HURT
MOTOR-CYCLING ACCIDENT
COLLISION AT CHRISTCHURCH Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. As a result of a collision at Sockburn last evening, a family of four and another man, all riders on a motor-cycle and side-chair, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. They are as follow: James G. Potter, a labourer, aged 34; condition satisfactoiT. Annie Potter, aged 34, his wife. James Potter, aged 9. Noel Potter, aged 7. Benjamin Henry Bright, aged 52. The condition of the last four is still serious, with head wounds. The machine collided with a horse and trap. N According to Mr. Potter, driver of the motor-cycle, the party was returning to the city at a moderate speed when he suddenly saw the gig ahead going in the same direction. He swerved but was too late, the wheel of the trap being struck between the cycle and the side-chair. His family were thrown forward on the road.
