TOOK POISON
CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED SUICIDE MUST STOP DRINKING Attempting to commit suicide by taking a draught of a commonlyused alkaline, Albert Limbert was arrested by the police and taken to the hospital. After a week's treatment he was discharged and appeared at the Police Court this morning. In the opinion of Sub-Inspector Me Carthy, Limbert. who was quite young man. had something on hi mind. He had not been in New Zea land long and was up from the coun try, where he had been working. H had taken poison, but was discovere by a constable. After examination b Dr. C. H. Tewsley he had been re moved to the Public Hospital. Ex penses amounting to £4 4s had bee incurred. Limbert was ordered to come _up fc sentence if called upon within 1 months, a condition of the court’s len: ency being that he paid the expense and took out a prohibition order.
