Quaint Bonnets HODGE—J AGGER Entering the church on the arm of her father, Constance, daughter of Mu* and Mrs. A. Jagger, made a charming picture on the occasion of her marriage to Mr. Roy Hodge, of Matamata. The Rev. C. W. Turner carried out the ceremony. Mr. A. Hodge, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr. H. E. Schofield presided at the organ. The bride wore a charming gown of ivory satin beaute with petalled hemline drooping at the back. A dainty capette trimmed with orange blossoms fastened her ivory tulle veil, which was embroidered with silk. She carried a shower bouquet of cream jonquils. Miss Edna Stewart, chief bridesmaid, wore a period frock of* daffodil yellow, with bodice of satin beaute and ankle skirt of tiny silk net frills. Her bouquet was composed of daffodils and jonquils. Two little sisters of the bride, Phyllis and Kathleen Jagger, were also in attendance, the former in lilac silk net with frilled skirt, and the latter in a similar frock of pale leaf green. Both carried white shepherd crooks decked with tulle to match thendresses. All three bridesmaids wore Dutch caps of tulle. A reception was held at the Rialto rooms after the ceremony. Mrs. Jagger received the guests, frocked in navy and scarlet repp, and carried a bouquet of violets. The bride’s going away ensemble was of nut brown chiffon velvet, with coat and hat to match.
