FRACTURED SKULL

MOTOR PASSENGER HURT SMASH IN MT. ALBERT A passenger in a motor-cycle sidecar, Mr. Harry Crowne, of Mount Albert, was seriously injured in a smash early this morning. He is now a patient in the Auckland Hospital, suffering from a badly fractured skull. The smash occurred at the intersection of Tranmere Road and Arabi Road at 8.25 o’clock this morning. Mr. Arthur Dodman, of 45 Stewart Road, Mount Albert, was driving along Arabi Road. The motor-cycle and sidecar were coming along Tranmere Road. Both vehicles collided with some force at the intersection of the two roads. Mr. Crowne received the full force of the Impact. He was immediately conveyed to the Auckland Hospital, where his condition is stated to be serious.

Mr. Crowne is a married man, about 30 years of age, and resides at 30 Norana Avenue, Remuera. When the collision occurred he was thrown out of the sidecar, and his head struck the hard road with some force.
