HENDERSON CROQUET CLUB
At the annual meeting of the Henderson Croquet Club, Mrs. H. Wright presiding, the report and balance sheet showed the past season had been a very successful one, and the financial position of the club was entirely satisfactory. This was mainly due to the untiring work of the secretary, Mrs. R. Laurie, during the last three years, and, as a mark of appreciation from her fellow-members, a handsome Doulton supper set was handed to her by the president. Following were the trophy winners of the past season:—Rose bowl, Mrs. Cossey; Agate bowl, Mrs. McKay. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—President. Mrs. F. McKay; vice-president, Mrs. B. Carter; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mrs. R. Laurie; committee, Mesdames Canton, Land. Meiklejohn. Higginbotham, Schramm, Cossey: lawn and match committee. Mesdames T. Carter, Pook, Llewell: social committee. Mesdames Canton, Meiklejohn, Bust, T. Carter. B. Carter.
