“My advice to members is to ‘let sleeping dogs lie/ ” said the chairman of the Mount Roskill Road Board, Mr. E. F. Jones, at the meeting of the board last evening, when the report of the recent commission which inquired into the status of the district was received. The commission decided against the formation of a borough. Mr. Jones said that to him the report was full of inconsistencies. Mr. S. I. Goodall thought it was a pity the report did not contain the heli> it might have. He thought all members had made honest attempts to look to the interest of the whole of the district. Mr. G. E. Tansley supported Mr. Goodall. “I think every man who" has sat round this tbale has done his best for the whole of the district.” Mr. E. Pearce also expressed himself as disappointed with the report. A letter was received from Mr. R.
