BURNHAM RESIGNS PRESS PRESIDENCY (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. Lord Burnham has resigned the position of president of the Empire Press Union after 14 years, thereby severing his last link with Fleet Street journalism, in which he has been so distinguished a figure. Mr. H. Horton (Auckland) among others paid tribute to Lord Burnham, who was elected an honorary life member. Viscount Astor succeeds Lord Burnham as president of the union.
