SOUTHLAND INVASION
300 FARMERS TO VISIT AUCKLAND A party of 300 Southland farmers and their wives will visit the Auckland Winter Exhibition next month. The visitors will arrive on Saturday morning, July 6, remaining until July 0, when they will leave for Rotorua. The joint committee of the Auckland Winter Exhibition decided today to accord the visitors a reception at the show at 10.30 a.m. on Monday. The party will then be escorted round the exhibition. Trips to the various manufactories and to Takanini are being arranged, starting at 1.30 the same afternoon. At nine o’clock in the evening the visitors will be entertained by the Exhibition committee at supper.
