TASMANIA LEAVES HALlFAX.—According to a cable, message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company the Tasmania left Halifax on Saturday for Avonmouth, Glasgow' and Liverpool, en route from Auckland. KARAMEA LEAVES COLON.—Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Karamea left Colon on Tuesday evening for Southampton, Rotterdam and London. She sailed from Wellington on May 30. TOFUA CLEARS SUVA.— The local office of the Union Company has been advised by cable that the Island passenger steamer Tofua, en route from Auckland, left Suva at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon for Tonga and Samoa. TARANAKI DELAYED.—Owing to bad weather the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's motor-ship Taranaki was unable to finish her loading yesterday at Auckland. L. D. Nathan and Company now advises that the vessel sails from here at daylight tomorrow for London, via Panama. TANKER AM PULLARIA DUE.—With bulk oil from Singapore for the Shell Company, the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company’s tanker Ampullaria is expected to arrive at Auckland next Wednesday. Her cargo is for discharge at Auckland and Wellington. WAIRUNA DUE TOMORROW.—The Union Company’s trans-Pacific. cargo steamer Wairuna is due at Auckland tomorrow morning for New Plymouth. On Monday the vessel docks for cleaning and painting, after •which she proceeds to Vancouver to load again for New Zealand ports.

NIAGARA AT VANCOUVER.—The Union Company reports that the Niagara arrived at Vancouver at 6 a.m. yesterday from Auckland. The vessel is timed to leave again at noon next Wednesday for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland, and Sydney, and is due at Auckland on July 15.

HURUNUI AT SUVA.—A cable message to the New Zealand Shipping Company reports that the Hurunui arrived at Suva on Monday night from London, and the vessel was expected to leave Suva last night for Auckland, Wellington., and New Plymouth. She is due at Auckland next Tuesday, and at Wellington a week later.

ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. —According to cable advice, the Huddart, Parker’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa left Sydney at noon yesterday for Wellington, w 7 here she is due on Tuesday next. The Ulimaroa is the only passenger vessel arriving at New Zealand ports next week from Sydney.

FLOWERGATE SHELTERING.—Henderson and Macfarlane advises that the steamer Flowergate, which recently unloaded a phosphate cargo at Auckland and sailed for Westport last Tuesday to replenish her bunkers, is sheltering at Golden Bay waiting for orders, owing to no coal being available at Westport until the mines resume working.

MATAROA LEAVES HOME. —Cabled advice received states that the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s liner Mataroa left London on Thursday and Southampton yesterday with passengers, mails and cargo for New Zealand ports. The cargo is for discharge at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff. The liner is scheduled to call at Wellington on July 23 to land passengers and mails. CUMBERLAND FROM LIVERPOOL.— After a prolonged voyage from Liverpool, the Federal steamer Cumberland is now expected at Auckland on Tuesday, according to a radio message received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company. The vessel is bringing general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Port Chalmers and Bluff. She has been allotted a berth at the Queen’s Wharf. BRAND DUE MONDAY NIGHT From Bunbury, Western Australia, with a cargo of hardwood, the Norwegian motor-ship Brand is due at Auckland on Monday night. She has not vet been allotted a berth. After discharging the local portion of her cargo to the agency of Russell and Somers, the Brand is to be dispatched for Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin to continue. The vessel was last in Auckland in July, 1927, when she was a new ship, having left the shipyards that year.

ORKANGER WITH OIL. —The Atlantic Union Oil Company advises that the Norwegian motor tanker Orkanger is expected on Wednesday next from Los Angeles. She has a full cargo of bulk oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The vessel will berth at Western Wharf to unload the Auckland portion of the cargo into the company’s tanks at Freeman’s Bay. She was at Auckland at the beginning of last March.

HORORATA LEAVES PANAMA.—The New Zealand Shipping Company has L-een notified by cablegram that the Hororata arrived at Panama on Sunday from London, and sailed again on Monday for Auckland. Lyttelton. Port Chalmers and New Plymouth. She is due at Auckland on July S.

RUAHINE LEAVES HOME.—Cabled advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that their liner Ruahine left Southampton on Friday. June 14, for Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on July 19 and at Auckland a week later.

MAIMOA’S MOVEMENTS.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Maimoa left Dunedin yesterday morning for Port Chalmers to commence loading. She is to get away from Port Chalmers

on Monday to load at Bluff, Timaru. Waikokopu and Wellington. The vessel is uue at Wellington on July 5, and will sail finally from there on July 9 for London, via Montevideo and Terieriffe. MAIL FOR AUCKLAND.—The acting chief postmaster at Auckland advises that the Huddart-Parker intercolonial steamer Ulimaroa, from Sydney, which is due at Wellington on Tuesday next. June 25. has 125 bags of Australian mail for Auckland. The letter portion is expected to reach here by the Main Trunk express on Wednesday next, June 26.

KENT TO LOAD.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Kent is about to commence loading at New Plymouth. She will proceed thence to load in the Wanganui roadstead and W ellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on July 1, and will leave there on July 2 for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. The Kent is to sail finally from Auckland on July 13 for London. Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama and Curacao.

CITY OF BATAVIA REPORTS.—According to a radio message received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company. the A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer City of Batavia is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland on Monday morning from New York. The vessel, which is bring ing general cargo for discharge at Auckland. Wellington. and Dunedin, will berth at the Prince’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo.

The Ngapuhi is due from New Plymouth at 7.30 a.m. tomorrow. She leaves for that port again at 3 o’clock on Monday afternoon. The Hauturu is expected from Hokianga on Monday morning, and is to be dispatched for Raglan, Kawhia and "Waikato Heads at 4 p.m. the same day. The Arapawa was to have sailed at noon today for Opunake and Wanganui. The Hokianga, due late on Monday evening from Hokianga, is to sail on the return trip at 3 p.m. on Wednesday next.
