ENJOYABLE DANCE
CAS COMPANY’S SOCIAL CLUB A very enjoyable social and dance was held in the Gas Company’s buildings, Pitt Street, on Thursday evening by the Gas Company’s Employees’ Social Club. Over two hundred people attended and spent the evening dancing to the excellent music supplied by Mr. Weir’s prchestra. Among those present were: Mrs. J. J. Rogers, wearing a black crepe de chine gown. Mrs. Mann, who was in a french blue crepe de chine frock with an embossed chenille coatee. Mrs. H. M. Doull, who wore a lacquer red silk gown. Mrs. N. Cretian (Christchurch), who was in an oyster shaded georgette frock. Mrs. J. E. Rogers, in figured ninon relieved with beige. Mrs. N. G. Lloyd, who wore nile green georgette with an uneven hemline. Mrs. G. Kenny, who was in beige chenille georgette. Mrs. Marson, wearing a black taffeta gown with brilliante trimmings. Mrs. Broadribb, who wore figured crepe de chine. Mrs. T. Moles, wearing black ring velvet relieved with ivory crepe de chine. Mrs. F. Bridges, whose black crepe de chine gown was relieved with silver lace and ninon. Mrs. A. Gow, who was in jade green and coffee lace. Mrs. Phillips, who wore a figured rayon gown. Mrs. Cammell, in a gown of gentian blue bengaline. Mrs. Needham, wearing black and ivory jcrepe de chine. Mrs. A Culpitt, who was in petunia bengaline relieved with pleated beige g«rgette. Mrs. I. Cargill, who wore beige crepe de chine with a gold lace overskirt. Mrs. R. Wilkinson, in an ivory crepe de chine frock with diamante trimming and deep hem of white fur. Mrs. E. Merry, wearing paisley patterned jersey velour with cerise trimming. Mrs. Howard, who wore a gold lame corsage with a skirt of black and gold lace. Mrs. Mitchell, in a gown of old rose charmelaine relieved with fawn Miss A. Cooke, in a shell pink georgette frock and hand embroidered ishawl to tone. Miss Joan Gosling, who wore parma yiolet georgette. Miss L. Gosling, in a frock of duchess blue georgette and taffeta. Miss Jessie Entwistle, wearing eggshell blue taffeta, with rhinestone trimming. Miss D. M. Rogers, who was in green crepe de chine. Miss Moira Clarke, wearing navy georgette w'ith diamante trimming. Miss Joy Buchanan, who wore turquoise satin beaute w’ith a cerise bow finishing the waist. Miss I. Ching, in a french frock of shell pink georgette. Miss O. Buchanan, who wore a black ring velvet gown. Miss H. Edgcumbe, in silver lame w'ith Bn apple green frilled tulle skirt. Miss R. Dixon, who was in cornflower blue georgette and gold lace. Miss J. Woolley, who wore leaf green chenille and gold tinsel -with. a frilled georgette skirt. Miss D. Douglas, who wore lotus blue georgette with coral chenille wrap. Miss Molly Needham, In peacock blue Velvet with gold trimmings. Miss Audrey Levick, in gentian blue georgette and silver lace. Miss Floie Mitchell, who wore lacquer red chenille georgette with an uneven hem of tulle. Miss A. Sorle, who wore apricot ranne velvet and crepe satin. Miss Constance Booth, in apricot and beige crepe de chine. Miss M. Meek, wearing fuchsia ring velvet with rhinestone trimmings. Miss E. Meek, in a picture frock of blue erepe de chine and taffeta. Miss lona Milham, frocked in blue chiffon velvet and brocade. Miss L. Keely, in a frock of palest pink georgette with uneven hemline and rhinestone trimming. Miss Marion Crewther, who w’ore cyclamen georgette relieved with a silver spray at the waist.' Miss Alice McKenzie, in silver tinsel and pleated crepe de chine. Miss Evie Mitchell, who wore cameo pink crepe de chine inset with silver lace. Miss Joyce Burnet, in a frock of black taffeta embroidered with rhinestones. Miss Vere Meredith, who wore lemon georgette and velvet. Miss B. Stevenson, in a frock of duchess blue crepe de chine with silver lace panels. Miss D. Culley, wearing parma violet taffeta over silver underdress. Miss G. Moore, in alinond green crepe de chine with a tulle bow. Miss C. M. Andrews, wearing peach crepe sylvia with diamante trimming. Miss M. McKenzie, who wore black ring velvet with diamante trimming. Miss Iris Milharn, who was frocked in chenille velvet with a silver lace collar. Miss Joyce Dickey, wearing leaf-green taffeta, relieved with mauve. Miss M. Cox, who was in cyclamen crepe satin and gold lace, with oriental eh awl.
