FLYING ANGEL MISSION
SOCIALS FOR SEAMEN During the week several socials were held in the rooms of the Flying Angel Mission to Seamen Institute. The social club of the steamer Corinthic entertained friends there and a party of Sea Scouts and their officers were also given the hospitality of the mission. The Rev. H. K. Vickery, chaplain to the mission, gave an illustrated lecture to the scouts on ships, ancient and modern, and Mr. Wynne Grey gave an exhibition of conjuring. Sea Scouts G. Lublock and J. Pirimona, of the Hawke Troop, won the competitions which were held after the lectures. The present mission building has been sold, and temporary rooms have been engaged in Simich Building, Customs Street, which will be occupied at the end of the month.
