WHIRLWIND’S ANTICS
TREE CARRIED TWO MILES BUGGY TURNED OVER (From Our Oton Correspondent) OPOTIKI, Friday. It is reported that as a result of a whirlwind striking Torere a big ti-tree was lifted bodily, carried two miles, and dropped on the verandah of Mr. T£. j Williams’s residence. The front portion of the verandah was extensively damaged. A buggy was also carried some distance and turned over.
