NEW TIME-TABLE READY TO OPERATE ON MONDAY Tomorrow the new time-table on the railways will come into operation, but the trains will not start their new runs until Monday. Following are the principal changes:— The Rotorua express will leave at 10 o’clock in the morning instead of 10.30. The Taneatua express will leave at 9 o’clock instead of 8.35 a.m. On the return journeys the express for Auckland will leave Rotorua at 9 a.m. instead of 9.30 a.m., and the express for Taneatua will leave there at 8 o’clock every morning for Auckland. From Monday the Rotorua express will stop at Ngaruawahia, Huntly and Tuakau to take on and put off passengers. Formerly these stations were passed by. Numerous other changes are being made, principally on the East Coast line. The present train which leaves Frankton Junction at 10.35 p.m. for IVaihi will run right on to Tauranga. A train which formerly left Waihi at 3.10 o’clock every morning for Frankton Junction will now leave Tauranga at midnight and will reach Frankton Junction in time for passengers to join the Limited for Auckland. Passengers and goods are to be accommodated on an extra train running between Tauranga and Taneatua every day. The train which leaves Frankton Junction at 2.30 p.m. evftry day for Auckland will not leave until 4 p.m., reaching Auckland at 9.15 p.m. Minor alterations, so that connections can be made, will come into operation on the Cambridge branch, and some of the suburban trains are also to be altered. The whole of the new time-table has been advertised in the newspapers, and the first of the new railway timetable books are now available.
