CROQUET MEETING

ROCKY NOOK’S YEAR The second annual meeting of the Rocky Nook Croquet Club was held in the pavilion on Tuesday, there being a. large attendance of members. The annual report stated that a great amount of work had been done through the year, and the financial position of the club was very satisfactory. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season: Patrons, Messrs. Eagleton, Tongue and Bouskill; president, Mrs. Tongue; vicepresidents, Mesdames Wilson and Barton; lion, secretary, Mrs. Keatley; hon. treasurer, Mrs. Roylance; general committee, Mesdames Wakerley, Chambers, Carson, Aughton, Maiden, MeAnncny; Match Committee, Mesdames \V yles, Barton, Keatley; delegates to Auckland Croquet Association, Mesdames Wakerley and Keatley. At the conclusion of the meeting the retiring president, Mrs. Wakerley, presented the prizes won during the season. Championship: Mrs. Wakerley. Handicap Singles: Mrs. Carson. Handicap Doubles: Mesdames Wakerley and Roylance. Aggregate Progressive A: Mrs. Carsen; B, Mrs. McAnneny. Mrs. Wakerley then concluded by presenting the retiring secretary, Mrs. Roylance, with a beautiful vase, and the retiring treasurer, Airs. Keatley, with a handsome china luncheon set in appreciation of their services.
