VICTORIA LEAGUE EVER-READY COMMITTEE The Victoria League Ever-ready Committee gave a most delightful bridge party in the League rooms on Wednesday afternoon to raise funds for St. Alary’s Homes. Prizes were won by Alesdames Scott, Keesing. Callinan, and Aliss Teape. Among those present were: Aliss Mowbray, Alesdames J. STAFF DANCE STREAMERS OF BLUE AND GOLD W. D. AND H. O. WILLS, LTD. A very successful dance was held by the staff of AV. L. and H. O. AA'ills, Limited, on Tuesday evening in the Amateur Operatic Society’s Hall. Streamers of blue and gold made effective decoration, and the stage, from which Air. Clyde Howley's Famous Internationals dispensed bright music, was banked with palms and potted shrubs. Among those present were: Aliss Isa Munro, who wore an autumn tinted lace frock over parchment coloured georgette. Aliss D. Kerr, who had chosen an ivorv georgette frock with a shoulder spray of natural flowers. Jlrs. Mason, wearing a black lace gown over silver lame. Airs. Boddingion, in an amethvst appliqued crepe de chine gown, with a fringed skirt. Mrs. Biss, in a bouffant frock of black taffeta and tulle. Airs Tarrant. who wore a prettily i beaded lilac georgette frock. IN BLUE SATIN Airs. J. Willis, wearing a frock of lido blue satin beaute with bouffant skirt of tulle. Airs. Sharpies, who was in lacquer red georgette. Mrs. Jones, whose black taffeta gown was relieved with a cameo pink butterflv bow. Airs. Ainslie, who was in a frock of ivory beaded georgette. Airs. Campbell, whose ivory georgette gown was embroidered with sequins. Airs. F. Taylor, in a frock of powder blue taffeta and tulle. Airs. Bainbridge, who wore a phlox pink chiffon frock with a two-tiered skirt. Airs. Warsaw, whose black georgette frock was embroidered with crystal beads. GOWN OF SILVER BROCADE Airs. Watson, in a smart gown of silver brocaded metal cloth. Aliss Smith, in a spotted silk net frock. Aliss Fordyce, wearing an embossed cherry chiffon frock. Aliss Brown, wearing an uneven length ivory georgette gown. Aliss Boyes, who was in ivory satin beaute, relieved with cherry and silver. Miss J. Lovegrove, wearing a pastel tinted embossed georgette with a net yoke. Aliss Lovegrove, who wore an ivory 1 frilled tulle frock. Aliss Kennedy, whose briar rose georgette frock had a frilled skirt. Aliss Burgess, wearing a maize- , coloured frilled taffeta gown. Aliss Arnold, in a gown of silver lame and palest primrose satin beaute. Aliss ITiscoek, whose lido blue satin beaute gown was diamente trimmed. Aliss Darby, who wore a gown of floral | tissue and black satin. Aliss Hinge, in a frock of deep orchid crepe de chine.
