LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY

PLAY BY NOEL COWARD ■ “Hay Fever,” tire brilliant play by ! Xoel Coward, which will be the next 1 production to be staged by the Little Theatre Society, is the first play by this writer to be presented in Xew Zealand. It will be remembered that “Bird m Hand,” the first Little Theatre production this year, was the first John Drinkwater play to be played in Xew Zealand, so it will be realised that this society is putting itself out to meet the needs of Auckland drama lovers. Noel Coward is probably one of the most brilliant of England’s younger playwrights. When “Hay Fever” was presented in London by Marie Tempest and Graham Browne it ran for a season of 100 weeks. “Hay Fever” will be presented by practically a new cast of players at the Town Hall Concert Chamber on June 26 and for the three following ! evenings. Johnny Mack Brown has been signed to appear in new scenes to be added to “The Valiant” a Fox Movietone all- ! talking picture in which Paul Muni ! noted Broadway star makes his screen \ debut.

Warner Baxter of “In Old Arizona” I fame, is to make a sequel to this allj talkie, entitled “The Cisco Kid”, und*r I the direction of Raoul Walsh.
