JUNIOR UPPOS
NEW ORGANISATION OF UNITED PARTY FORMED IN AUCKLAND The services of youth were enlisted in the cause of the United Party by the .formation of the Junior United Political Organisation last evening. A meeting of young men ranging from IS to 30 years of age, convened by Mr. H. A. C. Davy, Auckland divisional secretary, was held in the Lewis Eady Hall last evening. There was a good attendance. In referring to the apathy displayed by young people in the past, Mr. Davysaid there was an urgent necessity for the training and encouragement of the generation that was soon to take control. This long-felt want would bo supplied by r the formation of a Junior United Party. It was desired to bring together men who could work amicably and constructively. The junior organisation must work in harmony with the senior organisation, though it should not hesitate to form its own ideas for submission'to the party. After further discussion it was resolved to form an Auckland area division of the junior organisation, and the following officers were appointed: Pati'on, the Prime Minister; president, Mr. A. E. Davy; vice-president, Mr. G. C. Black, M.P.; chairman, Mr. C. E. Clarke; treasurer, Mr. L. Brooker; chief executive officer, Mr. H. A. C. Davy; council, Messrs. E. Bissett, R. Feuwic, Carr-Smith, E. Creagh, H. Beechey, T. Priston, W. McAra, H. J. Lichtenstein, C. T. Keegan, S. Arthur, Michaels, jun., Hyland and Johnston.
