MEETING OF EXECUTIVE CHALLENGE FROM CANTERBURY A meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League was held last evening. Mr. G. Rhodes presiding. The Canterbury League advised that it intended to challenge Auckland for the Northern Union Cup. The match will be played at Auckland on a date to be arranged. It was decided to await a. report from the New Zealand Council as to the order of the provincial challenge matches, and then fix the dates. •The Thistle Cup is to be awarded os a special trophy to the team scoring the most championship points in the second round of the senior competition. The following applications for reinstatements were approved: M. Uerewini. A. M. Man sill, R.. Nottingham. Herewini and Mansill were subsequently registered as members of the Newton Club.
