FURTHER APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED British Official Wireless RUGBY, Tuesday. The Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. Sidney Webb, has asked Mr. Arthur Ponsonby, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Dominion Affairs, to assume the chairmanship of the Oversea Settlement Committee, succeeding Lord Lovat. The Colonial Secretary has appointed Major Church to be a member of the Colonial Appointments Committee, in place of Dr. Drummond Shiels, who has resigned his membership on his appointment as Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the India Office.
