«r J. G. Barton arrived from the South this morning on the Limited. Dean G. K. Barnett, of Hamilton, is .onflned to bed with a severe attack of influenza. Father McKeefrey and Father Kalausher were among the passengers went South last evening on the LimitedSir John Findlay. K.C.. will sail for England by the Remuera on Saturday. He will be accompanied by Lady FindlayCaptain P. -T. Foster, marine superintendent of the Union Steam Ship Company, sailed for Sydney by the .torangi last evening. Mr. J. H. Luxford, Chief Judge of Western Samoa, is recovering from his illness satisfactorily, and will probably leave hospital this week. The Hon. C,. Forbes, Minister of Lands and Agriculture, Joined the Limited at Frankton Junction last evening en route for Wellington. Rear-Admiral W. R. Napier, R.N., who has been on loan to the Australian Navy for three years, is visiting Wellington on his way to England. Mr. W. A. Kennedy, Wellington n-.an-pjrer of the Union Steam Ship CoMr. R. L. Gillies, acting-engineer superintendent, and Air. Scot Miller, naval architect, all sailed by the Asrangi for Sydney last evening. Mr. A. Benton, who has been for four years engaged on mission work among seamen in Auckland, leaves this evening for Wellington to join the Fort Nicholson for South America, his intention being to take up mission work on the Amazon River.
