FIRE AT ONEHUNGA ADJOINING HOUSE DAMAGED Fire completely destroyed a nine- | roomed house In Prince’s Street, Onej liunga, at three o’clock this morning, j The house was owned by Mr. J. Clarke, of Elerslie, and has been un- | occupied since Wednesday last. It i was insured In the Lancashire Office | for £BOO. One wall and part of the roof of an ; adjoining house was also destroyed. It was occupied by an elderly woman, | Mrs. Dukes, and is owned by Mrs. S. j Wilson. Mrs. Dukes’s furniture was ! considerably damaged by water. The j insurance is not available.
The fire apparently had a good hold before the alarm was given.
