TRUTH ABOUT TAUPO

“STORY OF A GREAT CRIME”

An illustrated pamphlet claiming to give the truth about the Taupo railway, which was stopped and “abandoned forever” by the Ward Government, has been issued on behalf of the Rotorua-Taupo Railway League, Reporoa. A copy has been forwarded to The Sun. The brochure tells in its title, as in its context, “The story of a great crime.” or, if the word be too harsh, a blunder which is noted as being worse than a crime. The league’s arguments are strong and pithy, and somewhat merciless in logic and evidence to those Ministers of the United Administration who, in agreeing to root up the work of the Coates Ministry, contradicted themselves. The pamphlet ought to be given a wide circulation among politicians.
