The senior approaching and putting competition resulted in a tie between Miss McDonald and Miss 33. O’Neill. The junior competition also resulted in a tie between Mrs. Quick and. Mrs. Darlow. The first three rounds must be played on the fixed Wednesdays. After then a fortnight will be allowed for each match. The new score eai'ds will be used. WAIUKU CLUB In the semi-final of the Duff Cup competition Ohlson beat Munro. 4 up and 2, and will play the winner of Howden and Bloomfield in the final. In the semi-final of the Forbes Cup, Roscoe beat Morris, 2 up, Kidd beat Flavell. 2 up. A bogey match between those eliminated from the above competitions was won by Colbeck. who returned a card of 4 up. The best of the other cards handed in were: Hill, 1 up; Ducker, 1 down. TAUMARUNUI CLUB A bogey handicap was played over last week, the result being a win for E. M. Coker with 4 up, and F. Groom second with 3 up. The draw has been announced for the qualifying round of the competition for the captain’s trophy. This draw also covers the first of three rounds for a trophy presented, by Mr. Norrie Bell.
