HAMILTON In the second .series of games in the second, round of the Hamilton Hockey Killip Shield Competition, Old Roys’ Seniors defeated United Seniors by 3 goals to 2. The game was very close and undecided. though 01:1 Boys came out on top again, and thus far have not suffered defeat. HAURAKI PLAINS In the Ha.uraki Plains Ladies’ Hockey Association’s competitions on Saturday, in showery weather, Waitakaruru beat Xgatea School 5—3, with goals by Misses F. Bernev (3), Madge Beaver and Mavis Beaver, against goals for School by Misses El. McPherson and S. Manktelon and a Waitakaruru player. Turua beat Kerepeehi B 4—l. with goals by Misses E. Stephens (2), E. White and H. McAlister, while Miss C. Davis was the scorer for Kerepeehi. The Kopuarahi A team beat the B team by five goals to one. Misses E. and A. Candy were the scorers for the A team, and Miss J. Hudson for the B team. In the Thames-Hauraki (Men’s)

Clark, j of Turua, were the only scorers in the t game against Thames High School. | The Kopuarahi team beat the Thames j Foundry team by four goals to three. RAETIHI | There was an atendance of about j twenty-five at the meeting at Raetihi to consider tho formation of a girls’ hockey club held last week. Mr. H. Green was voted to the chair. It was agreed to fofm a club, over thirty having signified tlieir intention to play, some of them being unable to attend the meeting. The subscription was fixed at 2s 6d. it being decided to keep the sum as low as possible for the first year. It was resolved that permission to make a playing area on the Recreation Ground be asked from the Borough Council, and, if possible, the opening be held next Thursday afternoon. The following office-bearers were elected; President, Dr. Feltham; vicepresidents, the Rev. Datson, Messrs. Davies, C*. Lynch, B. Drury. W. G. McDowell and D. G. Thompson; secretary, Miss Clark; treasurer, Miss Donaldson; club captain, Miss McKie; deputy captain, Miss Anderson; committee, Mesdames Green, Pedersen, Paulger and Misses Jrlall, McKie and Woods. WAIHI Waihi hockey representatives entertained Kerepeehi on the Waihi ground on Saturday and defeated the visitors by seven goals to three. The teams were about evenly matched as far as individual play went, but the better combination of the Waihi team paved the way to victory. For Waihi, Morton, Walker, Carter, A. McMahon and McConnell were the outstanding players, while Courtney and Wpedon were the best of the Kerepeehi team. TAUMARUNUI A sparkling game took place at Owhango, when Taumarunui High School met Owhango at that place. No chances were given, and a good game ended in a draw, one all. Messrs. Pywell and Peacock refereed. MATAMATA Playing at Matamata in the Piako Association matches, Waitoa beat Matamata by five goals to four. Matamata, playing two men short, put up a good fight, but the odds told. Forbes (2), Bigwood, Hight and Moore scoted for Waitoa, and for the losers Sutherland (2), Vincent and Baton.
