FIRM TWICE ROBBED
BURGLARY IN HAWERA Press Association HAWERA, Thursday. Following a burglary at the Ne - * Plymouth establishment of C. C. Ward, Ltd., a little over a wctk ago, when £3OO in money was stolen, the Hawera branch of the firm received attention last week-end. In this case the thief, or thieves, were not so successful, only £3 3s lid being secured. The safe, which contained a large sum of money, was attacked, but it resisted all efforts made to open it. In the office a till of small change was found, including £1 worth of pennies. At the time of the burglary tai firm’s New Plymouth establishmefi* it was reported from New Plymouth that the Hawera branch had also beefcr robbed of goods and £9O cash, but thfc proved incorrect.
