SEDDON COLLEGE
MANAGERS’ BOARD MEETING Several questions affecting the administration of the Seddon Memorial Technical College were considered at the Board of Managers’ meeting yesterday. Mr. 11. S. W. King presided. The water radiator heating system to be installed in the college at a cost of £2,544 will be subsidised £1 for £1 by the Education Department to the extent of half. Acceptance of the tender of Jenkins and Mack has been authorised by the Public Works Department. The proposal to . have educational films screened in the college hall was referred to in a letter from the Minister of Education. Mr. 11. Atmore advised there was littlej'likelihood of Jhe department undertaking to supply films for exhibition in schools. The board instructed the principal to report on an alternative plan he had in view. The demand of the Auckland City District School Committee for the closing of the Wellesley Street school and transfer of the pupils to the Napier Street School was warmly endorsed by the board.
